DeScenza Diamonds first opened in 1915 at the historic Downtown Crossing district of Boston, Massachusetts. Alfred F. DeScenza started the business very modestly, in a tiny office on the 6th floor of 387 Washington Street. He built his reputation based on integrity, honesty and 5-star customer service.
In 1946, Al’s son, Fred DeScenza, and Fred’s brother in law, Hugh MacIsaac, joined the business. Together, they grew from a one-room office in Boston’s diamond district to 6000 square feet of space on the entire 6th floor of the Diamond and Jewelry Building
Today, our flagship jewelry store in downtown Boston is still located across from the Millennium Tower and Shoppers Park. Upon entering, a bronze mural commissioned by DeScenza Diamonds lights up the lobby. However, after taking the elevator up to the sixth floor, the doors open to something even more spectacular - a 6000 square foot showroom, overflowing with diamonds, watches, and fine jewelry!
